Gbongay Village Clinic

Gbongay village is situated in the Pujehun district of Sierra Leone. Twenty-one miles from the nearest hospital, the clinic plays a pivotal role in providing local healthcare The recent addition of a basic maternity unit enables women to give birth with dignity.

Friends of Freetown is delighted to partner with the remarkable local NGO, Pujehun Development Organisation which supports this marvellous project. Over the years, we have funded the construction of a new well, renovations to the clinic building and the purchase and adaptation of a temporary community ambulance. We also provide regular donations to contribute to the rolling supply of medicines and running costs.
