The water tower was completed on the 2nd October ‘24 and commissioned on the 6th October ‘24 (which was also the schools’ 11th birthday) and the school can now benefit from fresh daily water and flushing toilets.

We aim to provide a wrapped Christmas gift for each child/young adult and staff member at the Mercy Children’s Orphanage every year. We currently have 35 children/young adults and 8 staff at the orphanage and we are in need of Christmas presents for 8 young adults (7 young men and 1 young woman). They are all students or apprentices.

The Kate McGrath School for Girls in Sierra Leone has historically performed well in all subjects, apart from Science…mainly due to the lack of ability to run practical lessons.Over the last few years, Friends of Freetown have funded the furnishing of three labs and has shipped donations of science equipment from various sources.We will be shipping all donations at the end of April - this is our Amazon wish list!
